The short version: Contrapta doesn't collect any data. Your machines, stars and settings never leave your device unless you share a machine yourself.
What we collect
Nothing. Contrapta has no account, no server, no analytics, no advertising and no crash reporting. We don't know who plays Contrapta or how anyone plays it.
Where your information goes
Nowhere. Building, running the physics, hints, stars and records all happen on your iPhone or iPad. Contrapta makes no network connections of its own and works with no connection at all.
Something leaves the game only when you choose to send it: when you share a machine as a QR code, a code or a file, it goes where you send it. A machine code holds only the level and the parts of the machine, nothing about you. Clipboard
Copy code puts the machine link on the clipboard. Paste in Enter a code uses the system paste button, so Contrapta reads the clipboard only when you tap it.
Permissions
Contrapta asks for no permissions: no camera, photos, location, contacts, microphone or notifications.
Purchases
The one-time unlock is sold through Apple's App Store. Apple processes the payment. Contrapta only receives confirmation from Apple, on your device, that the purchase is valid. We never see your name, email or payment details. A grown-up check (a multiplication question) comes before every purchase.

Your progress is included in your normal iPhone or iPad backup, and nowhere else.
Children
Contrapta is rated 4+ and is fun for all ages. It collects no data from anyone, children included. There is no chat, no public profile and no way to contact other players. Purchases and links out of the game are behind a grown-up check.
Changes
If this policy ever changes, the new version will be published here with a new effective date. Contrapta will never start collecting your data.
