PDF editor is a complete PDF editor that works entirely on your Mac. No account. No uploads. No subscription.

// what it does

READ

  • Fast viewer with thumbnails, bookmarks and full-text search
  • Opens and password-protects PDFs (AES-256); on-device OCR makes scans searchable

EDIT

  • Change existing text: click a line and retype it
  • Add text, drawings, shapes, arrows, highlights, stamps, images and comments
  • Whiteout, and true redaction that permanently removes what's underneath

SIGN AND FILL

  • Draw, type or upload your signature, and reuse it
  • Fill in PDF forms, and keep them fillable or lock the answers

PAGES

  • Reorder, rotate, duplicate, delete and insert pages
  • Merge PDFs, images and documents; split and extract pages
  • Watermarks, page numbers, headers and footers

CREATE AND CONVERT

  • Create blank PDFs
  • Images, Word, text, Markdown, CSV and web pages to PDF
  • PDF to Word, Markdown, text and images
  • Compress PDFs while keeping text sharp
