Short version: PDF editor does not collect any data. Your documents never leave your device.
What we collect
Nothing. PDF editor has no account, no server, no analytics, no advertising and no crash reporting. We don't know who uses PDF editor, which files you open, or what you do with them.
Buying PDF editor
PDF editor is free for your first 5 documents, with every tool included; a one-time purchase removes the limit. Purchases are handled by our reseller, Paddle, on its website (not inside the app). Paddle is the merchant of record: it takes the payment and sends the receipt under its own privacy policy. Paddle shares your name, email address and order details with us so we can create your license key and help you with your purchase. We use them only for that, never for marketing, and don't share them with anyone else.
Your license key contains the name and email address it was bought for, so PDF editor can show who it's licensed to. PDF editor checks the key on your device. It never contacts Paddle, us or anyone else to do it. Buy PDF editor… opens the store page in your own browser.
Where your documents go
Nowhere. Opening, editing, signing, converting and saving happen entirely on your device. PDF editor never uploads a file, and it doesn't make network connections. It works with no internet connection at all. The only time anything leaves the app is when you choose to: for example when you click a web link inside a PDF, which opens in your own browser.
What PDF editor keeps on your device
To be useful, PDF editor stores a few things locally, in the app's private storage on your device:
| What | Why | How to remove it |
|---|---|---|
| Unsaved work (automatic recovery) | So you don't lose edits if the app or computer closes unexpectedly | Save or close the document, or choose Discard on the home screen |
| Recent files | Quick access to files you opened | Home screen → Manage → Clear recent files, or turn Remember recent files off |
| Saved signatures | So you can sign again without redrawing | The trash button next to a signature in the Sign dialog |
| Settings (language, theme, text size, tool colors) | Your preferences | Clear the app's data or uninstall |
| Your license key, if you entered one | Unlocks PDF editor | Help → Enter License Key… → Remove License |
| Which documents count toward the free limit (random document IDs, no names or contents) | The free version's limit | Clear the app's data or uninstall |
This data is never sent anywhere. Uninstalling PDF editor (or clearing its site data in your browser) deletes it.
Children
PDF editor doesn't collect data from anyone, including children.
Changes
If this policy ever changes, the new version will be published here with a new effective date. PDF editor will never start collecting your documents.
