How do I import my Anki decks?
In Anki on your computer, choose File › Export, select Anki Deck Package (.apkg), and tick Support older Anki versions. Then open the file on your iPhone or iPad (from Files, Mail or AirDrop), or tap + › Import… in Flashcards Forever. Images, audio, fill-in-the-blank cards, subdecks and review progress come along.
It says my deck uses Anki's newest format.
Flashcards Forever reads Anki's widely supported package format. Re-export with Support older Anki versions ticked and it will import.
How do I bring cards from Quizlet?
Open your set on quizlet.com, choose ⋯ › Export, copy the text, then tap + › Import… › Paste Text in Flashcards Forever. CSV and TSV files from Excel, Google Sheets or Numbers work too: the first column is the front, the second the back, and an optional third holds tags.
Studying
What do Again, Hard, Good and Easy do?
They tell the scheduler how well you remembered. The small text on each button shows when you'll see the card next. Be honest: the schedule adapts to you.
Why didn't I get the other direction of a card today?
Cards made from the same note ("siblings") are spread across days, so one doesn't give away the other.
Can I study more new cards per day?
Yes. Open the deck, tap ⋯ › Deck Options, and change New cards per day.
What does "Target recall" in Settings do?
It's how likely you want to be to remember a card when it comes back. 90% is a good balance. Higher means more frequent reviews.
Your data
Where are my cards stored?
Only on your device. There's no account and no cloud sync.
How do I move to a new phone, or keep a backup?
Settings › Back Up Library creates one .owndeck file with all your decks, progress, history, images and audio. Save it to Files, iCloud Drive or a computer. On the new device, open that file, or use Settings › Restore or Import….

I bought the unlock. How do I get it on another device?
Use the same Apple Account and tap Settings › Restore Purchase. Family Sharing is supported.
Is there a subscription?
No. It's one payment, forever.
