Discretia collects no data. We, the makers, never receive, store or see anything you write in the app.
- Stored on your device. Clients, notes, appointments, measurements, consents, files and signatures are stored on your device, encrypted with a key kept in the device's keychain. They are never sent to us. They leave the device only when you choose to: a backup file, or a PDF or CSV you export and share yourself.
- No account, no analytics, no ads, no tracking. The app contains no third-party code and makes no network requests of its own.
- Backups are yours. A backup file is encrypted with a passphrase you choose. If you turn on automatic backup, the encrypted file is saved to a folder you pick (for example iCloud Drive); that folder's provider only receives the encrypted file. We cannot open it.
- Purchases go through Apple. We receive no personal information about you from Apple.
- Dictation with the app's microphone button uses Apple's on-device speech recognition only. Audio is not recorded or sent. The keyboard's own dictation is run by Apple and may not stay on the device; check Settings > General > Keyboard.
- Backup file names include the date and time they were made (for example "Discretia Auto 2026-10-07 1430"), which the folder's provider can see. Turning automatic backup off doesn't delete files already saved there.
- Your clients' data. You are the person responsible for the data of the people you see (in Mexico, the "responsable" under the LFPDPPP). The app helps you keep it private but does not make anyone compliant with any law.
