Getting started
How many projects can I have for free?
Five at a time, with every feature. Deleting a project frees its slot. A single purchase unlocks unlimited projects forever. There's no subscription.
How do I add my logo and business details?
Go to Settings › Business Details. Your logo, brand color, contact details, license number and tax ID appear on reports, estimates and invoices.
Photos
How do before and after photos work?
In the camera, choose Before & After. Take the before photo; the camera then shows it faintly over the viewfinder so you can line up the after photo. The two are paired and appear side by side in reports. You can also pair two existing photos from the photo viewer.
What does the GPS stamp record?
Only coordinates, measured on your device, for example "29.08920° N, 110.96130° W ±8 m". SiteLog never looks up addresses, so your location is never sent anywhere. Turn it on in Settings › Stamp photos with GPS.
Does markup change my photo?
No. Markup is kept separately; you can edit it or remove it at any time and get the original back.
Voice notes
Why wasn't my voice note transcribed?
SiteLog transcribes only on your device. If your device doesn't have an on-device speech model for your language, or speech recognition is turned off for SiteLog in Settings, the recording is kept and you can type the text yourself or tap Try Transcribing Again later.
Estimates and invoices
Can I use two taxes, like a state and a county tax, or IVA with a withholding?
Yes. Each estimate or invoice can have up to two named taxes. Use a negative rate for a withholding. Mark lines that aren't taxed.
Are SiteLog's invoices valid as a CFDI in Mexico?
No. SiteLog's invoices ("notas de venta" in Spanish) are not CFDI electronic tax invoices; those are issued through the SAT with an authorized provider. Every invoice says so.
Sharing with your crew
How do I send a job to someone else?
Open the project and choose ⋯ › Share Project File. Send the .sitelog file by AirDrop, Mail or Files. On the other device, tap the file to open it in SiteLog. If they already have that project, they can keep both copies or replace theirs.
Your data
Where are my projects stored?
Only on your device, in SiteLog's private storage. They're included in your normal iPhone or iPad backup. There's no account and no cloud sync.
How do I move to a new phone?
Restore your new phone from a backup of the old one, or share each project as a project file and open it on the new phone.
How do I restore my purchase?
Go to Settings › Restore Purchase, signed in with the same Apple Account you bought it with.
